(Note: The following post was submitted by one of my sources inside the ESDA, some details have been altered to preserve their anonymity.)
Crazy times can either get crazier or stop being crazy at all. There never seems to be a step down into “slightly less crazy”. Recent events up on Moonside Base are no exception, that is for certain. I know followers are generall aware of what Moonside Base is for, but let me break it down into a bit more detail just so everyone can keep up.
The Moon Base
Moonside Base is both a Galactic Accord neutral zone and an spaceport for Earth. All of the entities in the Galactic Accord have access to Moonside Base, and it is a place to conduct business with the Terran signatory (currently the United States, somehow) as well as conduct business related to the Earth amongst themselves. For Exopoli other than the Siriusians, it is the furthest into Terran space they can legally go without explicit authorization from the Accord and the Reticulian Greys. Of course, we all know the Armanem have been in pretty much open defiance of the accord for the last four years, at least.
My own role in the base is in something like technical support for the comings and goings of the Accord craft. Since the Siriusians have their deep space craft in shadow orbit nearby, they mostly send smaller shuttle craft to conduct their business on the base. The Armanem tend to arrive in medium-sized spacecraft that land directly on the few docks able to handle their ships and personnel. (I have never seen one arrive with it’s full complement of atmospheric aircraft onboard, and I know this has not gone unnoticed by the Siriusians or the Greys.)
What are the Armanem (Space Aryans) Up to?
That is the normal flow of daily life on Moonside Base. However things have been getting unusual lately. Not in really newsworthy ways, however. As long as I have been cleared to work on Moonside Base, the Armanem have been using the Medium-Sized spaceships. (I don’t know the Armanem name for them, we call them “Blue Tubes”).
Within the last six months, they have been arriving in larger craft. These ships have the same design, but are as large as the Siriusian ships that maintain a perimeter around Earth and Moon. These larger ships have been sending landing craft to Moonside, and they are often filled with more militant looking “Blondeez”. These have a physique and bearing you would associate with military humanoid. Additionally, there uniforms do not match the simple white and grey tones of the scientists and diplomats that usually accompany their moon missions.
These Armanem have also started posting up in a perimeter to guard these ships, even though there are already human and Siriusian guards around the base. They aren’t really doing much more than that. This is a very passive show of force, and as far as I can tell no one is really impressed. A lot happens above my pay grade. I know that.
Problems with the Moon Shuttle
The real disruption is with the shuttle schedules between Moonside Base and Earth. These shuttles are scheduled to arrive and depart on a weekly basis. They are a pretty mundane activity, not much more than space cargo or space commuter. The remarkable thing is that the scale of these logistics are kept secret. Until lately, anyway.
The shuttle flights are still a well-kept secret, but they are no longer on the same schedule. Possibly not a schedule at all, really. Due to various breakdowns, the craft have not been leaving Moonside Base for weeks at a time. These have been failures of all kinds of minor but still critical systems. Sometimes a broken mechanical part like a hatch seal. Sometimes a weird bug in the digital control systems. Occasionally a crew member will suddenly come down with “Moon Fever”, a new and unexplained ailment that has got the attention of NASA and ESDA. No quarantine yet.
With the Blondeez show of force, it would be easy to see a correlation between the two happenings. Still, as far as I can tell, none else has made that connection and the Greys would shut it down right away if they thought foul play was involved. At least that’s the impression I get.
The only thing I can figure is that there is something along the flight path that happens at certain times that someone doesn’t want the humans on the shuttles to see. ESDA would just reschedule the flights, so it can’t be them. Maybe there is some rogue group active that is above my pay grade. Maybe it’s human vs human espionage, a foreign power (Russia) seeking to further disrupt the Galactic Accord. That would make sense in light of what the Armanem are displaying on Moonside Base.
I’ll let you know when I know more. Or maybe you’ll know before I do. Assuming whatever it is hasn’t already happened.
