Last night I was pondering why it is that reasonably realistic science-fiction that concerns a technological future has no interest for me, either as writer or reader. I mulled it over for a smattering and I think the really, really bad ideas and implementations we get from jokers like Elon Musk has just spoiled the whole genre for me. Tech Bros and their hand-waving technobabble have killed my willingness to suspend disbelief on behalf of tech.
Do you think this? Perhaps this feeling is prevalent?
